Local rapper "J-Dubb" Justin Thomas and Alexis Jenkins prepare to act in a scene as Shannon Flanagan (right, front)and Jonathan Williams (right, back) get the cameras ready to record during the filming of the music video for the song 'Bring it Back' by "Ammo" Jason Almazan at the Vertigo lounge in Joliet on Thursday, November 6th, 2008.
This was a fun shoot. I just got to hangout and witness this music video get completed. Everyone that I spoke to there, (including the musicians) were more then nice. I always have much love and respect for local musicians, but I do not know too much about Ammo or J-Dubb, but I have to admit that 'Bring it Back' is a catchy tune. I need to figure out how to get ahold of a physical copy of that song.

Anyways, that is three posts in a very short time. Be impressed.

This is my life
I have been meaning to post more, I swear. I do not even have a legitimate excuse to tell you guys, and by you guys I mean myself. I haven't 'gone public' with this blog for some reason, I told my lady friend but she forgot the address already (Thanks, Sarah). Anyways, my days are spent as such:
1. Freelancing photojournalism. During the day I wait for phone calls from the Joliet Herald, or any of the local STNG papers that need something shot. If they need it done, regardless of time or day, I agree to it. This happens everyday of the weekend, plus a day or two. I am usually out on an assignment 4-5 days a week, with usually 2 shoots per each day. Every month they seem to be giving me more and more, which is GREAT. The more the better, I say. In my opinion, I have been getting better at this, and I have gotten some decent feedback on it. I have a feeling that if the Herald was looking to add someone to their staff, they would pick me up, but I doubt this would happen anytime soon. I can honestly say that I am working on my portfolio during the time spent here, so no regrets at all. I get excited when ever I get a call, I can't wait to make this full time.
2. Hanging out with friends. One of my pals has a podcast, the other has a pool table. We record the podcast on said pool table (we also play pool on that table FYI). It is called Total Domination, and is about movies, TV shows, etc. Check it out, I appologize ahead of time for the amount of swears and stuff, it might not be the best representation of my personality I suppose.
3. Lady friend. She is busy with school and work in the big city, so usually only a day or two is spent with her sadly. But those are always the best days of my week.
4. Internet time. This time was designed to be spent on working on my website, job search, and 'blogging' but all three rarely happen. I always spend way to much time on facebook, or I go one wikipedia adventures for hours upon end. I am currently seeking a free flash based image gallery viewer application for my website, please let me know if you recomend one.
5. Skateboarding. I have been lazy lately, so the fact that the weather has taken a turn for the worse can only be a portion of the reasoning of why I have done so little of this activity lately.
6. Video games / TV. Madden 2009 is a fun game to play even though I believe that us Wii owners got the shaft on this years game. Matt Forte usually runs for atleast 125 yards, and Orton gets a touchdown pass or two. The Office, Conan, Daily Show, Colbert Report, and Top Gear make me laugh, alot.
