I hope the many readers of this blog caught that hockey game that I mentioned. It definitely lived up to all of the hype. USA delivered on my promise. Rumors have it that Canada is still grieving the huge loss. Moving on in Sport-talk with James: Did you know that at noon every single day of the year 'take me out to the ball game' is played over the speakers outside of Joliet Jackhammer's stadium? That is something I need to experience, soon. I am looking forward to the baseball season to start - for a number of reasons.
The Cubs had such a disappointing year last year, I expect them to bounce back and be a dominate force once again. In about a week, their spring training starts up. As far as local baseball, I am taking a nonpaid 'internship' with the Schaumburg Flyers baseball team during this summer. From what it sounds like to me, I am given an all-access season pass to shoot and / or watch their home games, then send in some pictures for them to use. At one point in the year they are doing a celebrity softball game at their field after a regular game, Larry David's partner in crime Jeff Garlin is going to be there. I am making it my duty to meet him. As far as shooting goes, I figure this is a great opportunity to improve my portfolio and it should look pretty good on my resume. I met with the assistant general manager of the team today, he was a very nice guy.
This snow can't melt, and the summer can't come soon enough. Here is a pic of some snow at the field.

Hockey
Regardless if you are a hockey fan or not, you should watch the U.S. VS Canada hockey game tonight. It should prove to be a great game that anyone would enjoy. I think Team Kane will upset, but it will be damn close.

Abbey Road?
I thought this composition was damn good, so I figured I should share. Its not rare for me crop out some useless space, but I liked this one untouched. A hundred plus people marched to save their school. This kid would of been the 4th generation of his family to attend the school, had it not closed down. Marching in protest for a beloved school that is closing down is a fight that should be fought. I can only hope that the my images that ran in the paper on Monday helped their cause out, I have received some much appreciated praise from some Herald-staffers on the images - hopefully the members of this march were equally as pleased. If interested, more pics are up on the Joliet Herald News website.

Burning Lights
Not much to say, just watch this amazing video. If anyone could find / get me a mp3 of this song I would be forever grateful. Love, James
