I don't have much to say. My favorite band, The Hold Steady were inspired by the great band the Replacements. The Replacements drew inspiration by and wrote a song called 'Alex Chilton'. Chilton recently passed away, just days before his scheduled performance at SXSW. I honestly didn't know too much about the man besides the Replacements song about him. I have since downloaded some of his stuff and there is some really solid tunes. Its always sad to get around to listening to a musician after the band breaks up or worse after the musician dies. Have a listen, won't you?

my buddy tim has a man crush on the replacements. I think he also likes The Hold Steady, but I don't know for a fact. Either way, he wrote a thing or two on Alex Chilton and The Replacements.
