Goddamnit Brad Briggs,
You were a badass. You were the Bears reporter that everyone listened to. You told it how it was / is. You had my respect, and the respect of 'true' fans because you explained how things were without sugar coating. There were other writers who were bitter. I am mainly recalling former S-T sports writer Jay Mariotti, who constantly bitched about the back of Urlacher and other shitty things, but you - You were knowledgeable. You made me a smarter and more informed Bears fan. I was proud to think that both you and I cashed the same check that read "Sun Times" on it. But now you are with the Trib. I really don't have anything against the Trib but still. I have a Sun Times subscription and that was it. I don't read the Trib, so I will be missing out on what you have to say.
Good luck sir. Hopefully this works out for you. I just hope Roger Ebert doesn't rip on you, because you don't deserve it.
